About Me

Hello Bulldog Nation! This is my first year as a Professional School Counselor at Thomasville High School. I am pursuing a Master of Science in School Counseling at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (Aggie Pride!). I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Troy University in Montgomery, Alabama. I have an undeniable passion for counseling, and I am excited to pursue a career in a field that holds great importance to me. I am passionate about improving the lives of all students, and I am committed to making a continuous effort to inspire and empower our students in creating their own paths, socially, emotionally, and academically. I look forward to working with the students, parents, and staff at Thomasville.

Rainbow Abstract Background

School counselors design and deliver school counseling programs that improve student outcomes.

The ASCA National Model guides school counselors in the development of school counseling programs that:

  • are based on data-informed decision making
  • are delivered to all students systematically
  • include a developmentally appropriate curriculum focused on the mindsets and behaviors all students need for postsecondary readiness and success
  • close achievement and opportunity gaps (see how equity is woven into the ASCA National Model)
  • result in improved student achievement, attendance and discipline
